The case for a $9 lid

Cleaning, honestly

The gasket and the slider both pop off for cleaning, which matters more than the top-rack dishwasher claim. The fact that you can actually get into the mechanism to clean it properly is the feature we'd call out first.

Top-rack dishwasher safe is accurate — we'd still recommend pulling the gasket and washing it by hand periodically just to be sure the seal stays tight.
