The fabric

The blend is polyester, polyamide, and elastane, which translates in practice to a fabric that has enough stretch to slide on easily but enough compression to actually stay in place. It's breathable without being so thin it's useless below 50°F. We'd describe it as a three-season layering piece — it takes the edge off a cold morning, but if you're training in sub-40°F conditions, you'll want something heavier underneath or a different solution entirely.

The reflectivity, which is the whole point

Proviz positions the retro-reflective logos and chevrons strategically — not just slapped on the back in one spot, but distributed across the sleeve so a car coming from multiple angles catches the light. Retro-reflective means the material bounces light directly back toward the source, which is meaningfully different from the vague "reflective piping" you'll find on cheaper gear. In real-world testing, the difference between retro-reflective and passive reflective under a car's headlights is stark. This matters most to road cyclists and runners doing pre-dawn or post-dusk miles on routes with vehicle traffic.

The silicone grip band
