Reflective Running Vest Phone Holder

What it is

Proviz built its name on hi-vis running gear, and this vest is the distilled version of that mission: a minimal phone-carrying layer whose primary job is keeping you visible and your device stable. It weighs next to nothing — 0.35 lb — and the fit adjusts via side straps, so it works across body types without feeling like a compromise.

The phone pocket

The velcro-closure pocket accommodates phones up to 6.9 inches (roughly the footprint of a Galaxy S Ultra or iPhone Pro Max), which covers most current flagship sizes. The fit is snug enough that bounce is genuinely a non-issue on steady pavement — we've tested it on both easy jogs and faster tempo work without the phone shifting. The headphone slot at the pocket's base is a thoughtful touch: run your cable through before you leave the house and it stays put, no fraying at the port end.

One caveat: velcro is velcro. It works, but it's not as fast to open mid-run as a zippered pocket, and after many washing cycles it will lose some grab. We'd treat the velcro closure as fine for most runs but not ideal if you're constantly pulling your phone out for interval splits.

Visibility

This is where Proviz earns its keep. The fabric itself is reflective — not just a few strips sewn on, but a smooth reflective finish across the surface — plus additional reflective trims front and back. In car headlights at dusk or in the dark, you read as a moving human shape rather than a dim silhouette. If you run on roads without pavements, this is the thing that matters more than any feature.

Comfort and breathability

The vest sits close to the body without feeling constricting. Heat dissipation holes through the material help; you're not cooking under a second layer. That said, this is still a vest over your shirt — on humid summer evenings you'll feel it more than on a crisp autumn morning. It's designed as a cool-weather and transitional-season tool, and it's most comfortable in those conditions.

The key pocket

A small zippered pocket handles keys. It's genuinely secure — no rattling, no chance of dropping them mid-stride — and properly sized for a house key and a card, nothing more. Don't expect to stuff a gel packet in there.

Who it's for

This vest does exactly what it promises at a price that makes it an easy call. It's not a hydration vest, not a trail-running pack, not a triathlon kit. It's the thing you grab when you're heading out the door at 6 a.m. in February and want your phone stable and your presence known.
