Why visibility actually matters here

Most running jackets treat reflectivity as an afterthought — a couple of stitched logos and a stripe on the arm. Proviz built the Lumina around the opposite premise. The reflective transfer print covers the chest and back panels, and every logo on the jacket is fully reflective too. In headlights, the effect is dramatic: you read as a bright, person-shaped object rather than a vague shimmer. For anyone running on roads or paths shared with cars, that's not a vanity feature — it's meaningful safety margin.

Weather protection that holds up

The jacket carries a 15K/15K waterproof-breathability rating (15,000mm hydrostatic head, 15,000g/m²/24h moisture vapor transmission) — figures that Runner's World validated in testing. In practice that puts it comfortably above entry-level rain jackets and competitive with pieces that cost significantly more. The sealed lining and waterproof SBS zippers close the gaps that kill cheaper jackets: water doesn't sneak in through the zipper teeth, and the seams won't weep after twenty minutes of sustained rain.

The adjustable hood with a built-in visor is genuinely useful. It's not a packaway afterthought — it stays put in wind and keeps rain out of your eyes without forcing you to tilt your chin down.

Fit and comfort on the run

The elasticated, adjustable waistband lets you cinch or loosen depending on how many layers you're working underneath. We'd describe the cut as relaxed-athletic rather than race-tight, which suits the jacket's all-weather utility purpose well. Underarm and back venting does real work during harder efforts — there's enough air movement that you don't overheat the moment the rain stops and the sun comes out.

Pockets — a genuine strength

Four pockets is a lot for a running jacket, and Proviz configured them thoughtfully. The dedicated chest phone pocket (zipped, waterproof zipper) keeps your phone accessible and dry without requiring you to swing your arm back to reach it. The full-width back pocket is unusually spacious — it can swallow a thin glove, a gel, and a key without bulking out. The two side pockets round it out. This is the kind of pocket layout that sounds like a spec-sheet detail until your first soaked November run, at which point it becomes the reason you reach for this jacket every time.

What we'd flag

The Lumina comes in Teal, and the color is striking — but if you need something that disappears under a work bag or transitions to a casual look, the options are limited. The jacket also leans slightly toward a roomy, trail-utility silhouette rather than a close aerodynamic cut, so if you're racing or chasing a streamlined look you'll want to size down or look elsewhere. There's no mention of packability or a stuff sack, so this isn't something you'll stuff into a hydration vest pocket.
