Petrichor Candle

Petrichor is named for the smell of earth after a rain. Once a year the storms come to Los Angeles. When the deluge finally arrives at the Estate, the earth heaves a sigh of relief: the birds sing, the winds blow, and the mighty Eucalyptus begin to turn their leaves. This phenomenon occurs before rain because of the increased humidity in the air, which softens the leaves and causes them to turn. Eucalyptus leaves are a core ingredient in our petrichor candle. We combine their oil with Myrrh, Amber, and Vetiver to mimic the scent of the earth after rain. It is a scent that has fascinated people for as long as the rains have been falling. Paulo Coelho wisely said that not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path. Our petrichor candle honors this idea. We release this very limited-edition candle on January 1st each year. It’s an invitation to wash away what no longer serves you, and turn over a new leaf.
