Our review
A garden showstopper with vibrant blooms and eco-friendly benefits Brighten your garden with eye-catching double flowers that open in vibrant yellow with warm hints of orange, then deepen to rich copper tones as evenings cool. Native to North America, this striking perennial supports local ecosystems while delivering long-lasting seasonal color. Its bold blooms are highly attractive to bees and butterflies, and by fall, its seeds provide an important food source for American goldfinches. Planting Solar Sisters™ Black Eyed Susan is an easy way to boost biodiversity while adding standout color to your landscape. Well suited for mixed borders, themed gardens, pollinator spaces, cut-flower gardens, and family-friendly areas, this resilient perennial offers excellent deer, drought, and heat tolerance. With its combination of beauty, durability, and ecological value, Solar Sisters™ Black Eyed Susan is both a visual delight and a true ecosystem powerhouse. Planting Care 1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant in the hole, and backfill with a mixture of compost and native soil. Water deeply after planting. 2. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, these plants are drought tolerant but will benefit from occasional watering during extended dry spells. 3. Pruning: Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. Leave flower heads in place at the end of the summer for birds to enjoy through fall and winter. Cut plants back in early spring to promote fresh new growth. 4. Fertilizing: Work fresh compost into the soil or fertilize lightly in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Apply sparingly, as over-fertilization can result in fewer blooms.
