Our review
Rosmarinus officinalis Mediterranean Rosemary, Hand-Shaped in Moss Bring the aromatic presence of a Mediterranean herb to kitchen counters and sunny windowsills with the Rosemary Kokedama. Slender stems with needle-like leaves release fragrance when brushed and provide fresh sprigs for cooking. Hand-shaped using the Japanese kokedama technique, the root system is wrapped in soil and moss to create a compact sphere. More Sun, Deeper Flavor Rosmarinus officinalis grows naturally in sunny, dry Mediterranean climates with well-drained soil. As a kokedama, it brings that same sun-loving character to bright indoor spaces. The more sunlight it receives, the more concentrated its essential oils become, deepening flavor and fragrance. Where It Thrives This indoor rosemary plant wants a south-facing windowsill with 6 to 8 hours of direct sun. Keep it close to the cutting board but not next to the stove, where heat and oils can stress the plant. Each piece comes with your choice of a white or gray patina tray . For added height, pair with our small Wrought Iron Planter Stand (sold separately). What Rosemary Needs Rosemary likes to stay dry-ish. Submerge the moss sphere once weekly or when it feels light, pressing out excess water before returning to the tray. Never let it sit in standing water, as this leads to root rot. Good airflow around the foliage helps prevent powdery mildew. Harvest green tips regularly to encourage new growth. Build out the kitchen herb set with sage , chives , and thyme kokedamas . IN A NUTSHELL 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily in a south-facing window. Good airflow is essential; avoid misting leaves. Soak the moss ball weekly or when it feels light; squeeze out excess water. Harvest the top 2–3 inches of green tips, never more than one-third at a time. Keep near the kitchen but several feet from the stove. All live plants are non-returnable / non-refundable / not eligible for discounts. Just a reminder that this is a May offering only, and supplies dwindle after May.
