Sitka Spruce is an abundant evergreen in the Coastal Rainforest of Southeast Alaska. The fresh, bright green tips that bud each spring are used as a flavoring in syrup, jelly, beer and now sea salt. Sitka Spruce Tip Flake Sea Salt is made by infusing hand picked, bright green spring Spruce tips into delicate salt flakes. Nothing else is added. With a distinct citrus and herbal flavor, it pairs well with seafood, chicken, pork, beef, vegetables and popcorn. This salt is made by our friends Alaska Pure Sea Salt Co. based in Sitka, Alaska. They make some of the finest salts from the outer coast waters.
