Our Jack-in-the-Pulpit Vase is shaped after the jack-in-the-pulpit plant, which grows in marsh woodlands on America's east coast. Legend has it that Meskwaki Indians would mix this plant with meat to kill their enemies, as jack-in-the-pulpit is poisonous to humans.
